QMP 2018 Live Surgery With Enrico Robotti Open Rhinoplasty Course
As a surgeon, there are always new techniques and procedures to learn. Whether you are just starting or have years of practice under your belt, continuing education is key to staying at the forefront of the field. That’s why I was excited to come across the 2018 Live Surgery Open Rhinoplasty Course by Enrico Robotti, MD.
This video collection includes six surgeries, each with a step-by-step operative technique, clinical photos, CT scans, and 3D renderings. Dr. Robotti also shares his technical pearls for using power tools and piezo, as well as the complete details of rib grafting for secondary reconstruction.
What I found most valuable about this collection was the surgeon comments and Q&A between Dr. Robotti and the audience. It’s one thing to watch a surgery, but hearing the thought process and reasoning behind each decision is what makes this collection truly educational.
Let’s take a closer look at each case. In case 1, a 25-year-old female with a hyperprojected tension nose undergoes a cartilaginous pushdown procedure. Case 2 features a 37-year-old female with a deviated nose, thin skin, tip asymmetry, infratip excess, contour irregularities, external valve insufficiency, and septal deformity. Case 3 is a 32-year-old female with a bulbous tip with malposition and septal deformity, also undergoing a cartilaginous pushdown procedure.
Case 4 is a bit more complicated, featuring a 32-year-old female with a deviated nose, open roof, multiple tip deformities with asymmetry, severe saddling, pollybeak, and residual septal deformities. This patient undergoes rib grafting, which Dr. Robotti demonstrates in detail. Case 5 is a 29-year-old male who underwent rhinoseptoplasty following trauma and now has a crooked nose with multiple contour deformities, severe saddling, tip and infratip deformities, and septal deformities. This patient also undergoes rib grafting.
Finally, case 6 is a 47-year-old female with a crooked wide nose with bony asymmetries, hump, saddling, and residual septal deformities, who also undergoes rib grafting.
Overall, I found this video collection to be extremely valuable for any surgeon looking to improve their rhinoplasty techniques. Dr. Robotti’s expertise and attention to detail are evident in each case, and his willingness to share his knowledge with the audience only adds to the educational value of the collection.
If you’re looking to improve your rhinoplasty skills, I highly recommend ordering the 2018 Live Surgery Open Rhinoplasty Course by Enrico Robotti, MD. With detailed surgical techniques, clinical photos, and 3D renderings, this video collection is a valuable resource for any surgeon.
